Shopping Trip - 2/5/12

Not quite as well as I did last week, but I still managed some great savings.

I bought 70 items for a total of $18.91 plus tax. My total out-of-pocket with tax was $28.44--that means I paid $9.53 in tax alone. Yuck! Total retail with sale prices was $108.86 plus tax ($118.39.) That's a savings of 76%. I don't have very many rewards to carry over--only $2 this week.

Purchased items include 10 Snickers hearts, 10 Reese's hearts, 2 Gold Emblem 64 oz grape juice, 6 Spongebob Valentine's Day activity pads, 16 Valentine's Day gift sacks, 2 bags Dove chocolate hearts, 4 GE 4-pack 100 watt light bulbs, 1 Suave Professionals shampoo, 1 Suave Professionals conditioner, 2 bottles Suave Professionals for Men 2-in-1 shampoo + conditioner, 2 bottles Suave Professionals hair spray, 2 Afrin nasal sprays, 1 Zarbee's cough syrup, 1 Sheets Energy Strips 10pk, 1 St. Joseph low-dose aspirin 36ct, 1 box Hefty trash bags 28ct, 3 packs Stayfree maxi pads, 2 Colgate Total Advanced toothpastes, 1 Reach Total Care plus Whitening dental floss 30yds, 1 Quilted Northern bathroom tissue double rolls 12pk, and a Knoxville News-Sentinel newspaper.
