Shopping Trip - 6/10/12

Only CVS and Walgreens. I'm not sure when Rite Aid will have any good sales again!

Total before coupons: $47.19 + tax = $51.00
My OOP: $9.19 + tax = $13.00
Savings: $38.00, 75% (81% without tax)

I bought 21 items today. They include 5 Pepsi product 12-pks. Kashi Go Lean cereal, 2 Nivea after shave balms, Scope Outlast mouthwash, Oral B Complete Advantage Scope toothbrush, 2 U by Kotex liners 18ct, 4 Kotex liners 16ct, 4 packs Lifesavers mints, and a Knoxville News-Sentinel newspaper.

This trip seemed to be a bit smaller than usual for me. Not as many good deals! That and I didn't really prepare too well. A family member has been very sick and we've spent a great deal of time visiting the hospital. Family time before coupons, obviously.

I didn't leave with any earned rewards this week! That's highly unusual. I sure am glad I still have a lot of Extra Bucks from last week. Looks like some good sales coming up!

Here's a breakdown of each store.

Kmart Shopping Trip - 6/3/12

Not the most exciting trip, but I did buy a few necessities. I keep going back to Kmart, even though I don't get the best savings and I almost always have some sort of snag at the register. Today was no exception.

I bought the following items for $19.98 plus tax.

Bounty Basic paper towels 15-pack $9.99 (regularly $14.49)
Used -$1.00 mfr coupon DOUBLED
Cost: $7.99 (making these $0.53 a roll—not too bad, I guess)

Tidy Cats Power Blend 20-lb litter $6.99 (regularly $10.49)
Used -$1.00 mfr coupon DOUBLED
Cost: $4.99

3 boxes Poptarts 12ct @ $2.50 = $7.50 (regularly $3.39 each)
Used -$1.00/3 mfr coupon DOUBLED
Cost: $5.50 (making these $1.83 each)

Kellogg’s Corn Flakes $4.19 (had a sign that said $2.50 but they didn’t ring up that way)
Used -$0.50 mfr coupon DOUBLED
Cost: $3.19

I went back inside the store after realizing the Corn Flakes were $4.19. The lady was very nice and price modified it down to $2.50, so I got a refund of $1.69 + tax = $1.83.

I was also supposed to qualify for a free 1-lb Sugar Daddy candy with a $20 purchase. They didn’t have them in-stock so they took down my number and are supposed to call when they come in. We’ll see!

Kmart total before coupons: $28.67 + tax = $30.97
-$7.00 coupons
-$1.69 + tax = -$1.83 Corn Flakes adjustment
My OOP: $19.98 + tax = $22.14
Savings: $7.00, 24% (26% without tax)

Shopping Trip - 6/3/12

My weekly trip to CVS and Walgreens.

My OOP: $8.08 + tax = $14.45, with $31 rewards remaining

I feel like I did well today--a lot of high-dollar items for just a little out-of-pocket. I almost spent as much in tax as I did on the actual items today. I did really well at earning rewards--$21 at CVS alone! I've been rocking their sales lately.

Mail Call - 2/19 - 6/2

Here's a secret. I was WAY behind on posts. I hadn't posted any shopping trips since February 19th! I went shopping almost every week, but I hadn't had time to update the blog. I kept very busy with my job during the spring semester. I often had work to bring home with me, and what time I wasn't working, I spent with my family. The blogs had to be put on hold. I took photos and kept an updated Word document of my savings and shopping trips because I knew I would want to come back to it later.

This Mail Call spans over a couple of months! I don't remember the exact dates these items came in, but I'd take a picture every couple of weeks to show what I received in the mail. Lots of good stuff!

Freebies in this picture include a sample pack of French Roast coffee K-cups, Simple face wash, Aveeno shampoo and conditioner, K-Pax energy, CoverGirl Lash Blast mascara (full-size!), coupon for a FREE Zaxby's nibbler, Acne Free face wash and coupon, two $10 off Centrum Pro-Nutrients coupons, coupon for a FREE bottle of Suave Keratin Infusion shampoo or conditioner, and a sample of Burberry perfume.

Freebies in this picture include a P&G sample pack (with Crest, Always, Pampers diapers and wipes, Scope mouthwash, Dawn, and coupons),  items from the Rite Aid Cover Girl promotion (Taylor Swift t-shirt and 3 bracelets), a coupon for a FREE bag of Popchips, and Palmer's lotion sample and coupon.

I got two more FREE Taylor Swift t-shirts from the Cover Girl promotion.

Freebies in this picture include Mucinex sample and coupon, Crystal Light Energy drink mix sample and coupon, Zarbee's cough drink mix and coupon, U by Kotex sample pack, and Schick coupons.

Freebies in this picture include Beneful Baked Delights dog treats, Tide Pods laundry detergent, and a Rite Aid Single Check Rebate check.

Freebies in this picture include a Lean Cuisine lunch bag (because I entered in codes from 25 Lean Cuisine boxes), Gud lotion sample and coupon, Craisins sample and FREE product coupon, two Lipton drink mixes and coupons, Purex detergent sample and coupon, Garnier Fructis lotion sample, more Beneful Baked Delights dog treats, free issue of Better Homes and Gardens, coupon for a FREE Zone Perfect energy bar, skin care sample (I forget the brand), restaurant loyalty card, and a can of Meow Mix (I think?) cat food.

Here's another picture of my Lean Cuisine lunch bag. I love this thing! So pretty.

Freebies in this picture include Nivea and Nivea for Men lotion samples and coupons from CVS, my P&G Olay rebate gift card for $15, Garnier BB cream skin care sample, a coupon for FREE Zevia soda, Strivectin-EV skin brightening serum, and a Target Beauty bag filled with goodies.

Close-up of my Target beauty bag--Pantene, L'Oreal Magic Lumi, Simple face cleansing wipes, Nivea lotion, Neutrogena skin care, Target coupons, and a cute makeup bag.

Freebies in this picture include Depends Real Fit 2-pk, Stayfree and Carefree samples and coupons, an Obama Biden sticker, K-cup coffee sample pack, Gevalia coffee sample with coupon, and a coupon for a FREE bottle of Pantene.

Finally... freebies in this picture include an OB tampons sample, Finish Quantum sample and coupon, and a Rite Aid Single Check Rebate check.

And that's it! Hopefully I'll stay on top of things now and I won't have to play catch-up so much!
